About Todd Ryckman

With over 25 years in education and edtech, I've built my career around helping people succeed, whether that meant guiding students in the classroom, leading large-scale technology initiatives at the district level, or supporting edtech companies entering new markets. I started as a high school history and AVID teacher. My interest in technology began early and led to co-authoring a Digital High School grant during my first year of teaching. That opened the door to managing our school's technology infrastructure and training teachers on how to use technology to support instruction. I later scaled that work districtwide as Assistant Superintendent and Chief Educational Technology Officer. In that role, I led the techEquity one-to-one iPad initiative, helped launch a competency-based learning academy, and worked closely with student teachers to help shape the next generation of educators. My approach has always centered on equity, real world impact, and building systems that support teachers and students. After nearly a decade of district leadership, I moved into the edtech space. As Global Director of Customer Success at a SaaS company, I built and led a global CS team, rolled out new systems and processes, and worked across departments to drive growth and retention. I also spent time consulting with international edtech startups through EDT & Partners, helping them assess product-market fit, develop go-to-market strategy, and build for scale in the U.S. K12 space. What connects all of this is a belief in people, purpose, and practical solutions. I've led students, teachers, district teams, and global organizations and I'm always looking for the next challenge that lets me help others do their best work.
