About Rick Nimtz
AV Design Consultant in the Office of Information Technology at University of Notre Dame since 1981. I check and review building design documents for audiovisual technology installation using Bluebeam and AutoCAD, create and maintain AV construction documentation, and work as an audiovisual consultant helping the Notre Dame community members determine their needs and recommend effective technology solutions. For the past 18 years, I've been the Notre Dame campus webcam administrator. I'm an active member of AVIXA, MCUAV, and ETC (formerly CCUMC), and serve on the AVIXA Technology Managers Council and AVIXA Consultants Council. Throughout my career, I've witnessed and adapted to the evolution of audiovisual technology from 35mm slides and 16mm film to multi-track digital systems on computers.
